Daniel Tan

Founder - Associate Member of the Malaysian Association of Social Workers (MASW)
Daniel is one of the founders of Generasi Gemilang (GG), having over 20 years of experience mentoring and counselling youth and families. He has a special interest in building positive self-worth and values into the lives of youth at risk. He is a sought after speaker in the area of youth development and parenting teenagers. In the recent years, he is also actively involved in working with the youth in East Malaysia.

Nicholas Foong

Director of Services - Associate Member of the Malaysian Association of Social Workers (MASW)
With an MBA in Marketing, Nick has over a decade of marketing experience in industries ranging from fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) to technology and telecommunications. He has been involved with youth development work for 7 years, especially in Cyber Wellness, and engages adults in the area of Digital Parenting. Nick provides leadership oversight for the Youth, Children, Family Services as well as the Communications team.

Melissa Ngiam

Director of Operations
Melissa oversees all key operational functions including finance, human resources, administration. In her capacity as Head of Strategic Alliances, she leads the building of effective and sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) solutions for GG’s corporate partners and supports funding initiatives such as grant applications and donor relations.

Huay Phing Cheah

Head of Youth Services - Associate Member of the Malaysian Association of Social Workers (MASW)
Huay Phing leads and oversees the operations and strategic direction of our work with youth through our flagship Cyberwellness and Leadership & Life Skills programs. She comes with a wealth of experience of over 18 years mentoring youth from a wide range of backgrounds including public/private schools across peninsula and East Malaysia, underserved communities, government institutions and not-for-profit organisations.

Simpson Khoo

Head of Education Services - Associate Member of the Malaysian Association of Social Workers (MASW)
As Head of Education, Simpson leads and oversees operations and strategic direction of all relevant GG programs that ensure under-served children gain increasing access to quality education. He played a key role in the establishment of GG’s Education initiatives including the development and execution of impactful on-ground programs for under-served communities and schools while mobilising partnerships with various stakeholders to improve the quality of our education services. He has more than 10 years of experience working with children and youth from various backgrounds.
